Anyone know if this is still on as of right now. indiana and bloomington indiana is suppose to get nail with a ice storm and bad blizzard from Chicago to Indiana and up to Michigan.

I posted that yesterday and think there is a legitimate chance the game gets postponed. The storm may be done by tomorrow evening but if they get a ton of ice, power may be knocked out for a long time.

We're looking at 18"+ down here with 30 mph winds. Gonna get pretty bad.

the hour by hour weather shows it getting worse after 2pm today and that was about when we were leaving-- hopefully that departure got moved up otherwise it looks like the plane is landing in a windy ice/snow storm that may last until tomorrow evening.

I hope they get down there and play it. With any luck the weather will keep a lot of the folks at home.

Just what I was thinking, Blizzard. If the Gophers are able to get to Bloomington, the game should be played as scheduled. Play the game, and hopefully not many Hoosier fans are able to get there. There's no sense postponing the game if both teams are there & ready to go.

That would be a huge break for the Gophs. It would be worse for both teams to have try and have it rescheduled.

They are worried about long-duration power outages due to 1" of ice followed by 30-40 mph winds. So even if the team can get there we'd obviously need to avoid one of these outages.

Postponing the game until around the Tuesday before the Big 10 Tourney would be great. Maybe Nolen will be back...

If Indiana fans are unable to get to the game, who is going to rush the court if they should win? ;)

im in bloomington, not too bad today all classes are still on. It will more depend on how Indy is i think. We will see tomorrow is supposed to be worse.

Someone on an hoosier board said the gophers are making there way on a bus as we speak, but that wisco paper said we are flying, anyone knows what is actually goin on...

Myron is tweeting from Indy-

Indiana officials say Wednesday's IU-Minny game expected to start at normal time, 5:30 central.

He also says he wouldn't be surprised if it was delayed.

Who knows. I hope not, again, I would think the crowd would be sparse and that's a good thing for us.

Trevor tweeted that they land in Indy about 40 mins ago and the roads were pretty bad from all the freezing rain

Here's the problem I have....I don't want the Gophers getting stuck in Indy after the game and not having ample time to prepare for OSU. They could get stuck down there for 2 days with this weather.

it might be better-- a practice or two per day with no classes or school to distract them, bus on over to Columbus for Sundays game.

The Big 10 does like to screw the Gophers over at times, but to make us play in Columbus against the #1 team twice in one season is a bit over the top, even for them. I think they'll let us have the home game we deserve ;-).

I agree with this. A day or two of nothing but prep for OSU could be good. Provided they take care of business tomorrow night. Let's hope they do.

Guess what Minnesconsin fan...You are really up to date. Let's go to Columbus and play tOSU, who just happens to be a Williams Arena for a game against the Gophers!

I can't decide, Dr. Don...

Which is funnier - the intentionally funny line
If Indiana fans are unable to get to the game, who is going to rush the court if they should win? ;)
or the unintentionally funny one you highlighted
(Either way - good one HH)

my bad- too much multi-tasking or just brain dead- I am even going to the game.

There's a game between PSU and Illinois in Illinois that's being played tonight as scheduled. Of course, that's tonight, and a different Assembly Hall lol, but just worth possibly noting.

I think it will all come down to if they have power or not. It looks like, as of now, it's supposed to get worse a little north of there in Indy.
