I think Selection Sunday could probably shed a lot more light on this-

On the bright side it could make for a hell of an NIT field this year.

I have to ask though how Illinois is still in the NCAA conversation in front of us?

Even at this point on CollegeRPI they're ranked 80th ( or so ) and we're still 56th.

My guess is because they are tied for second in the Big Ten and we are tied for 6th. They also won at Clemson and beat Vandy.

As I posted in another thread their last 8 Big Ten games are one tough row to hoe.

They could be 3-5 or even 2-6 in their last eight.

As of Monday morning

Of these 10, I'd have:

Cincinnati = IN
Florida = IN
GOPHERS = OUT
Illinois = IN (just barely)
Louisville = OUT (though last night's win helps)
Memphis = OUT (not even close to a bid)
North Carolina = OUT
Oklahoma = OUT (not even close to a bid)
UConn = IN (last night's loss probably puts them out at week's end)
Washington = OUT (not even close to a bid)
