Far too early for predictions, so I'll base this post off perception. When looking at the current state of teams compared to last year, here are my impressions. No particular order, just off top of my head.

*Purdue- WORSE New coach. New system. Will take a while.

*Illinois- SAME Scheelhaus(sp?) seems like he's been there a long time. Think they'd do better without him.

*Northwestern- BETTER I think the Wildcat defense is getting better. They will be tough.

*Michigan- BETTER Already good, I think they are better without Denard Robinson.

*Michigan State- SAME I liked Bell, but he's gone. Looks like they have top end quarterbacks.

*Ohio State- SAME Already good. I like Miller. They will be at or near the top.

*Wisconsin-WORSE New coach. New system. Not sure what the dropoff will be, but I'd suspect not much.

*Minnesota- BETTER Will be better without Gray. Will need to be better offensively.

*Iowa- SAME I just don't see the Hawks being a factor this year. LB's are studs, but offense is a big question mark.

*Indiana- BETTER Similar to MN. I like their coach and think they are starting to get better talent.

*Penn State SAME Hard to evaluate. I thought they'd stink last year. They didn't.

*Nebraska SAME Lots of talent, but I thin Pelini does less with more.

That's it. Curious as to what others may think.

Becky had a lot of guys out. QB battle should be interesting. They've no pass rusher and lack WR's
Ohio State put on the best show. Indiana has improved the most. Northwestern had something like 14 guys out, so hard to tell. Michigan State lost a lot on the defensive side. Michigan thin at QB. Penn State looks to have a depth problem. Iowa's RB situation is not good. Like the Gophers, WR is thin. Solid OL and LB's. Nebraska solid on both sides. Purdue has OL issues and at the LB position. ILL looked absolutely horrible in the Spring Game. The weather was bad, but man, I turned it off after the first half.

I look for Becky to be worse than last year. New coaches, systems and all of the above. Going to be a long season in Madison for 2013. Go Gophers!

Conference was fairly atrocious last year and we still only won 2 games.

Hoping for the best!
