They have a thread on their board talking about our first game with MTSU that almost has more posts then the thread we have on here talking about our first game...

I haven't seen to many obsessive UNLV/Wisconsin threads around here lately.....so I think we are still ok
 

What else are they going to do, the cops are keeping watch on the cemeteries and dead deer are now being scooped off the road much more quickly.

Speaking of UNLV/Wisconsin, UNLV might land Jeremiah Masoli.

In addition, never, ever use the phrase "eat me" in Wisconsin. Jeffrey Dahmer wasn't the only person from Wisconsin to practice "you eat what you are" rather than "you are what you eat".
 

Yeah, I think it´s amusing how obsessed many Wisconsin and Iowa fans are with the Gophers. A lot of it is clearly jealousy of the twin cities. And there´s probably the realization that we´re sitting on an incredible new stadium and the 15th Biggest media market in the country. AKA--sleeping giant.

I think we´re in the process of waking up.
 



Yeah, it's amazing how many people on this site vacilate between being a Gopher fan or a Badger fan. Who's ever winning regardless of sport that's the hat they wear.

Actually, isn't the funny thing that a Badger fan was on this board and posted a response to this in barely 4 hours?

This was a big topic of conversation on the local Vegas radio yesterday. The primary question was, should UNLV take a chance on a guy like Masoli.

UNLV is sporting a brand new coach, Bobby Hauck from Montana, and they really want to be relevant in college football. The events of the summer with the actual as well as "almost" realignment of the major conferences reinforced to them that being solid in basketball isn't good enough.

The irony here is, even though UNLV does not have a very good college football program, they're actually sitting pretty good at the QB position. Masoli would be a pretty big upgrade, but maybe not quite enough to take a risk like this?

BTW, Masoli would be eligible because he wrapped up his undergrad at Oregon over the summer.
 

11 of 20 threads on the first page are something about the Gophers! Really?! Not obsessed at all...

Masoli makes someone like Royce White or Booker Stanley look like a Rhode Scholar. No way should UNLV take a chance on him.
 



Familiarity breeds contempt. There's a lot of Minnesotans who go to Madison and lots of Wisconsinites who come here. I think Iowa is more about jealously. Iowa is backwards and impoverished and filled with hicks. In 2008 two of their fans were so overcome by the miracle of indoor plumbing they began to rut right on the spot (the proper term is rut for Iowans since their sex education comes primary from watching pigs). Imagine their surprise to find out there are laws against such behavior in our decent little town.
 

All I could think about with that bathroom tryst was; how long was that car ride home after they both got nailed (in both senses of the word)?
 

We destroyed their beloved pack last year with brett

tubby is starting to own wisconsin basketball

the twins can at least win division titles compared to the brewers

minnesota is kind of in wisconsins head......the last thing they could stomach is the college football at minnesota improving

i do understand their obsession and paying close attention

That no one seemed to notice the irony of a Gopher visiting a Badger Board to complain about the Badgers obsession with his team.

As to "Minnesota is kind of in Wisconsin's head".......I can kind of see that after 13 of the last 15 and 6 straight..........
 

The problem the Badgers have, is that no matter how many games they win, even if they actually finally win a national championship, they will still be Wisconsin, and they will still suck.

Right on! The U has won 6 straight National Championships vs. the red weasels total of ZERO. Add that to the number of B10 titles and the overall head-to-head, and you lose every argument.
