So what's up with Illinois? I haven't watched them play much this year, but from what I've seen they've got a very good DL, a pretty dynamic RB, and a QB who can throw it around decently. Scanning the scores of their games, I have no freaking clue how good they are. They destroyed Purdue last week (the week after PU had whipped Nebraska). The week before that, they lost 39-0 to PSU. They apparently played Iowa very tough at Kinnick, and of course they beat Nebraska (and held them to 13 points).
Can anyone explain this team to me? I'm looking over the score prediction thread and seeing Gophers blowouts predicted. I guess I could see that if I considered the Penn St score (and maybe UNC, but they're turned out to pretty good), but most other Illinois games seemed competitive.
