Illinois and giving up?

This is the first time that I have a seen a Big Ten team not bring their cheerleaders. Did they really not care or did they know something? I know the Gophers always bring their cheerleaders to away games. Not the full squad but there is a presense. I just thought it was unusual.

I noticed that, too, as did a member of the UI band that was at the game with his dad.

As bad as the Gophers were in prior years, there was always cheerleaders at every game on the road.
