Where will they be ranked and what seed will they get?

That would be 3 top-10 teams on a neutral court in 1 week. Can they get a 2 seed out of it?

I think they're vying for a 3. I think a 2 is out of reach.

The committee has stated before that unless there is a team in the championship game that wouldn't otherwise make the tourney, they don't take the result into account.

Year after year it appears as if the Saturday and Sunday conference tournament results have little impact on seeding, barring a team that would otherwise not be in the Tourney unless they win their respective conference tournament.

Go Gophers!!

If true, does this suggest that the conference tourneys are nothing but exhibitions to pump money into the conferences? If money wasn't the driver, conference tournaments would be the first rounds of the NCAA tournament as section tournaments are the feeders into state HS tournaments.

I don't see how Wisconsin's seed prediction from Thursday doesn't increase quite a bit if they win the BTT. They would have beaten 3 top-10 teams in 3 days.

Given, that's gotta be an anomaly for a conference tournament: Playing 3 games all against top-10 teams. I might even wager that that's never happened before.

As much as I would like Wisconsin not being able to benefit, I really don't like that. To ignore games against top teams in a playoff setting with a single-elimination format (like the NCAA tourney) seems harsh.

Good question, I predict they get their two seed if they win. Think about this, we lose to them by a bucket in Madison and get the victory at the Barn. Would you want to play them again this year?

They will be a four or five seed. The committee won't move them up past the Syracuse's of the world based on these last couple days. Wisconsin was looking at the 7 - 8 seed area prior to the BTT. Winning this tournament moves them up a couple spots already. A two or three seed based on three days is too far.

Both Michigan and Indiana brought their " D " games against Wisconsin. Wisconsin needed a buzzer
beater to knockoff Penn State in the season conference final. It's Wisconsin for CS!
Becky played their average, boring, clutch , grab, mundane game. Quite frankly both Michigan
and Indiana entered the game not giving a rats ass. Think about boys, unless you need to win the BTT would you get excited about playing the skunks knowing the BTT is just an extension of the season and is about as useful as tits on a boar. NOBODY remembers anyone winning the BTT!

Ya think?

I'm sure Indiana - who has never won the BTT and whose players have never beaten Wisconsin - didn't give a rat's ass. I'm sure Beilein and Crean, who have lost a combined 23 of 24 games to Bo Ryan, didn't care at all.

Badgers will be a 4 most likely, possibly a 3 or a 5.

As a Badger fan I'd like to think they'd be in the mix for a 3, but prior experience with how the committee handles the B1G tourney tells me that they're most likely locked in to a 4 at this point.

As I posted at a Badger board, Maryland did go from OUT of the tourney at 16-11 all the way to a 4 seed in 3 days by winning the ACC tourney a few years ago. They played their title game on Sunday, but in an early time slot.

You'd like to think that ANY B1G team should be able to get the same type benefit of a good run but maybe that's the price our league has to pay for playing in the most high media profile game on Sunday. I don't think there is any doubt the Badgers helped themselves the past two days, but if they play well enough to win 3 Top 10s in 3 days it just feels like gaining maybe only 1 line in the seedings is too little.

Good luck to the Gophs with their draw. I get the feeling the people outside the Gopherhole have a lot more wary respect for your squad than a lot of your own fans.

No and no. Look at the numbers/stats. They didn't give a rats ass. If the game had any meaning you would've seen a better effort out of both Indiana and Michigan. Aaron Jenkins on Sirus XM this morning said both Indiana and Michigan looked like they were sleep walking through their games with Wisconsin. Michigan settled for chucking up the 3's and playing bad defense. Indiana had horrible ball movement and allowed Wisconsin some uncontested bunnies. The only team, and rightfully
so, that should always get up for Wisconsin is Minnesota because of the rivalry.

I think they'll be a 4 seed regardless of the game today.

Yeah...no meaning for Michigan.

If they'd won the BTT, they probably would've earned a #1 seed.

Badgers didn't make a bucket last 7 minutes.

Which means they won the BTT!!!!!!!!

This site taught me that when Wisconsin goes on scoring draughts the win for the other team doesn't count.

Your posts reek of envy for sheer.

Nope. Just pointing out the hypocrisy of many Gopher fans. My guess is many here will marvel at OSU's defense while we marginalized the Gophers win over Wisconsin. Has nothing to do with Tubby, just how quickly we diminish and talk down our team.

Down goes Bucky. Looks like a 4 to me, but I wouldn't be surprised with a 5.
