this game is how next year will go for Rodney ( if Trevor leaves ).

Teams will send their goon squads against him.
Three of his 'fouls' were offensive fouls.. all flops.
another was a harmless reach.
the other is a cause for concern... A Stanford goon ( they had several ), swings his off-arm right into Rodney's face.

Rodney is one undercut ( from a walk-on goon ) from a major injury.

and where the zebras swallow their whistles, Rodney can't finish thru contact.. so he hangs around the perimeter.. he can get to the rim at will.. he has shown that in the last month.. but the risk is too high for him now.. esp against goon squads like Stanford ( and most big10 teams).

If Trevor isn't around to 'protect' him next year.. he needs to leave now.

Rodney has been committing more than his share of offensive fouls lately. Needs to work on that.

I think Rodney should test the waters. If nothing else just to see what the work outs are like, and maybe get some more feed back. I don't he would leave but in the long run it would help him to get into some of those workouts. As for the fouls he's been getting (and not just tonight). The whistles always get slower in the playoffs. It's that way in every level. He gets off to a hot start he will get the super stars calls by the time conference play starts.

You started on GH as a major troll, because that is what you are and always will be.

Don't feed the troll.

dude, here are your last five posts... nothing but personal shots... and i'm the 'troll'??

1.) "Thought. Key word. Later bam."
2.) "Unless GW is doing a really impressive act, you could not be him, your writing style is terrible. Really bad. 3rd Grade level at best. "
3.) "Wow I guess I missed the chapter when HD said you were GW. How could I missed/forget that great moment of GH history. So sorry."
4.) "You are Hoop Dreams? You must have been a poor player that got cut in JV/HS. Do you just disagree to not make it look so obvious? "
5.) "You always back GW up and post right after/before him on so many threads. Strange."

You're an idiot.

How about the over-rated Sullinger? Should he declare dboy Naismith?

Mbakwe wasn't around all season and it was Rodney's best. Bad logic.

Rodney will be playing the 3 next year

One thing I admire about dboy is the fact that he is #1 in my book as starting new threads that result in record numbers of pissing contests.

Why can't Tubby or someone on his staff teach him a pull up jumper from 8 feet???? Same for Joe Coleman...With those 2 it seems its always going to be a charge or a block, but the stop on a dime, pull up jumper is a lost art.

Because it is the lowest percentage shot taken.

seriously, i've started exactly 3 threads in 2012.. this one, about Rodney, was a softball.. or at least, so I thought.
if i were his agent ( no need to tell me i'm not ), i would throw his hat in the ring now.. off elbows into the face.. undercuts from goons.. enough!

'best'? so he was all-big10?

we are forgetting that this 'new' rodney was during the NIT.. against some of the worst D i've ever seen. dunkfests for Rodney.. no undercuts or hard fouls.

but Stanford was Wisky on RedBull.. that mountain-man for Stanford was Bruesewitz II. Physical, hard screens, undercuts, etc.. after an early burst, Rodney was roughed up.. then he didn't show up in the 2nd half.. stood on the perimeter, holding the ball. NEVER took his man off the dribble.. NEVER..

next year all teams will prepare for Rodney this way. he will regress.
Bob, it will be like JO next fall for CDH... mail in the final year.

Rodney would be foolish to go to the draft if he'd be a second-rounder, which I believe he would. A sustained season of what we saw in the NIT would be enough to elevate him to a first rounder in next year's weaker draft.

It smells like somebody farted it here. No wait. That is just useless gas spewing from dboys keyboard.

jake, Kevin Love is calling you out for this statement: 'KG is one of the top 5 rebounder in NBA history'.

Link us to that one, d-bag, or shut your massive pie hole.

boys, heres a Jared update: 4 - 15 from the field... hes eaten 5 shots. 8:00 left in the game.. just jacked another 3... 4 - 16 now.. stay tuned ... oh.. 7:01... just whistled for another foul.

eat it, jake.

go back to watching bowling.

jake/mulligan,
dessert is on me:

Jared Sullinger, Ohio State, Forward, Sophomore

Everything scouts worry about with Sullinger was shown Saturday night. Slow to rotate. Unable to finish over a larger defender in Jeff Whithey. Too many perimeter shots. Awkward rotations off the pick.

It was not a good night.

Sullinger simply doesn't have excellent explosivness. He's a crafty offensive player, able to use his touch and aggressiveness to slip inside. But against the seven-foot Whithey, Sullinger was unable to get his man out of position and score. Too often he was simply throwing up shots, trying to get it over Whithey to fall in. When that didn't work, in the second half he started adjusting to try the mid-range. Having it fail to fall isn't that bad, everyone has an off night and he just needed to show he's got the club in the bag. But the three-pointer he took late with the Buckeyes collapsing is not going to look great on a resume.

It didn't work for Andrew Bynum, it didn't work for Jared Sullinger. Outside of Harrison Barnes and Perry Jones, Sullinger goes down as yet another lottery pick to hurt his stock in the tournament.

Grade: D+
