If the Team doesn't care, why should I?

I'm just trying to convince myself to be as cavalier as the Gophers were tonight. It obviously doesn't bother them in the slightest that they've just blown their (somewhat slim perhaps) chances at the tourney. It doesn't concern them that they're kicking this state while it's down. (What a year this has been for Minnesota sports.) So, that's that, then. If they don't care, why should I beat myself up? It was never going to happen, with this sort of effort, and a team that's as disgustingly doggish as this wasn't going to make a run anyway. Let's hope that when Larry Westbrook is finally, FINALLY off this team, maybe we can start going in the right direction. Fingers crossed. (Next year, of course.)

I'm as big a Gopher fan as anybody, but to be perfectly honest I'm with you. They just don't care. They haven't really cared all that much for several weeks now. So let's just get this year over with and move onto next year; after all, that's what the players apparently are doing.

LOL at you losers who think they don't care. You should ask them that question in the locker room immediately following the game.

Tonight they came out flat and it was inexcusable, but if you didn't see the energy and heart in this team the past 4 games, you haven't been watching.

Okay, so I was a little frustrated last night, I admit it. But again, I never said that they hadn't cared the past four games. It was obvious that they did. They hustled, they worked hard, and they got good results. Last night, it was equally obvious that there were members of the team who did not care, and were not hustling, were not working hard, and were punished severely for it.

Well considering that we can only go off of what we see, what are we supposed to think? That what we saw was the best they can do? If that's the case, they should all give up their schollies right now.

"To each his Own." I can't help caring no matter what the situation is.
