I cannot believe a team with 4 seniors, and 2 juniors in the rotation can be this inconsistent. How many wins would Tubby have if Trevor wasn't given that 6th year?

Dre and Trevor are taking turns keeping this team afloat. Rodney backers will have his injury excuse. Coleman and Austin are completely lost and now the bench players that we though were sucking are actually playing better than they are.

The mental makeup and lack of composure by this team and many of Tubby's teams here are making me wonder. It is not one loss I am talking about seasons of not putting away inferior teams. Or not beating a zone.

We're going to get an answer to a variation of this question next season. Some on the 'Hole are hopeful about how it might come together. I see a dark cloud on the horizon.

I know this isn't the first time that I have said this, but if if's and but's were candy and nuts, then every day would be Christmas. Any number of things could have happened without Trevor. We might be playing Lockett, the Goose might have totally taken over inside, etc. Last year, I thought our offense actually looked better without Trevor, not because of anything that Trevor was doing wrong, but because the way we were using him was killing the flow of our offense.

Having Lockett would have been nice, but Trevor has been the man for a few weeks now. Not just the best player on our team, one of the 5 best in the conference. He's not a black hole for the offense either. He's working to get position, set picks, and get boards. Last night he tried to put this team on his back and if just one other person would have stepped up in the second half we win that game.

I'll say he probably won 2-3 games tops. MN does not beat Indiana without him, and probably not MSU either. So I wll say that without him there is not way they are a NCAA team, thats for sure, IMO. I agree with above posters about next year. It is going to be bad, I fear really bad. ALmost everyone in the B10 brings back players or has higher rated recruits coming in, and MN does not seem to have many guys on the team with a really high celeing...

I agree. With no Trevor at all, going back to last summer, things would have been completely different, perhaps not even necessarily for the worst. Other players step up, other players respond differently to more playing time, in the absence of a true key player, other players assume that role. The team dynamic is a very fluid situation, in all sports.

Do you think EE, Ingram, and Rodney would have had the impact and success in the NIT run last year if Trevor had been there? Absolutely not. A case could be made that Trevor's presence this year had a profound influence, mostly negative, on EE's development this year, for example. Maybe there's a lot more standing around on offense when Trevor is in the game, you never know.

I don't fully believe it as I think Tubby would have found a way if true but many believe Trent Lockett would be at Minn if a scholarship was available. Lockett might be nice addition to this group.

Not comparing them at all, but people would have posted 'imagine how bad the team would be without Kris Humphries". Turned out that was incorrect.
