Then why wouldn't we have looked at top coordinators like Gus Malzahn or the like? I understand going after sitting head coaches, but if Maturi expanded that to include coordinators, I don't know why Chryst would be the only one looked at...

How do we know Maturi hasn't talked to other coordinators? Answer: we don't.
