Just wanted to let all of you know that I have accepted an athletic media relations internship at Utah State University and will be starting there August 1st. This by no means is me saying that I will no longer follow and contribute to this site but probably means that I will relying on you all a lot more to keep up on the program as I'll be 19 hours away. It's a little bittersweet because, although I am extremely excited to take the next step in my life and career, it means that I will no longer be covering the program that I grew up cheering for. Regardless, I will forever be a Golden Gopher and will always bleed maroon and gold. Hopefully I can make some of you Aggies fans as well :D
 

Does that make you a Agpher or a Gaggie? Good luck, dude.
 


Congratulations, Pig Man and best of luck at Utah State! I've enjoyed your contributions to this site and hopefully, you'll continue even after you make the move.
 

Good luck in Mormon land, Pig Man. Send a few of your Utah people our way. We have room for them.
 




It's a Pig Man! - congrats and best of luck! I was on the SID career track the first part of my career and I will always give an interview to someone with SID on their resume because I know they are a hard worker. I have some former colleagues that are still on the track and it is fun hearing their stories and watching their careers progress. Best of luck to you and hopefully your path takes you back through Dinkytown!

Congrats! In the age of the internet, 19 hours is really not that far. I live in AZ and have no trouble keeping up with the Gophers. Best of luck to you.

I was all psyched to make a snide remark about living in the middle of nowhere (yes, i do understand it would be a situation of "pot calling kettle black") and did a google search. Logan looks like a beautiful little town in the middle of a beautiful area and probably will be a ton of fun.

Good for you. Maybe in 20 years (or 8 if you are on the Pitino track) we will welcome you back as the new A.D.

Haha I actually grew up on a farm directly inbetween 4 small towns in southern MN so I've done the whole living in the middle of nowhere thing before.

Have you signed your letter of intent? If not, it's just a verbal commitment not binding on either party....:cool:

It is just a verbal as I haven't reached NSD yet but I am shutting down my recruitment and will not be taking anymore visits. I will also not be responding to the media from here on out.

So what you're saying is it's a "firm verbal?"....or is it a "solid verbal?" I get confused.

Congrats my man!! I don't know what the position you are interning for entails, but if it means you are in college athletics, then it HAS to be fun!
