I've done this in years past, but I think its VERY necessary after this past week's debacle.

Say something nice about the team, and complete the sentence. Negative replies not welcome.

I was happy with...

Duane Bennett. He has run hard and played well the past 2 weeks.

The offense in general. Hope to see more kirkwood this weekend.

He played on special teams, why didn't he get a single carry? I was happy that I don't have to look to USD's cheerleaders ever again. Yikes.

I was happy that Brewster didn't offer any excuses for the loss & said it was unacceptable. He's taking blame & not blaming drunk students for chanting "Fire (insert coach's name)."

He may not be the coach to start the season in 2011, but he truly cares about this program. I commend him for that!

I was happy with the weather. It was a very nice day.

I'm happy I'm no longer in orbit around the combined gravitational force of the USD cheerleaders.

the fact that the team didn't quit despite being behind an inferior opponent.

MG getting meaningful playing time to allow for his physical tallent to contribute on the offense. He made 9 catches, one for a TD. He did drop one ball but managed to get open throughout the game, he also had what would have been another TD catch but the ball was overthrown.

I was happy that the Bank didn't empty out like the Dome would have in the 3rd and 4th quarters. The students did a commendable job at sticking around.

I, too, was impressed with Duane Bennett. The kid really plays with heart and has a pretty decent spin move.

Im am happy we are not going to rose bowl again for the 49 consecutive year so I dont have to waste my money planning a trip to Pasadena.

That my two boys (25 & 7 months) were too young to understand what was going on at the game. That being said my two year old kept saying what I thought was "thumb gop-ers" after the game. Turns out he heard me say "dumb gophers" a few too many times.

Here's to hoping my boys never see anything like that again.

The offense, I guess.

I am happy that my boys got their first tailgating experience, that there was a nice family next to us that let my boy wonder over to their area, that I am blessed to have the means to attend the football games, and the ticket holders who sit around me.

I liked the band and the fact that the students showed up well.

I'm happy about blurting out a laugh when coming across this little gem when I read this thread. They weren't exactly the Song Girls.

Not a lot of foolish penalties on offense. On defense, wish we were close enough to the opponent to even commit a penalty.

I was happy with the fact that I was able to parlay this loss in to a 17-hour drinking session. That's about it.
