That's not a "stat", it's a fact. If you had said the B1G was 2-9 (example) against Alabama it would gave been a statistic.

Is this better? The U is undefeated against AL in the 21st century.

That is more how I see it as well. At one point we were playing bowl games against Alabama and Oregon, since that time those programs have gone nowhere but up while we have struggled to stay relevant.

I guess it all depends on if your glass is half full, or like yours: half empty.

The Gophers have also played teams like Virginia and Kansas in bowl games.

All it says to me is that Alabama has done better in recruiting and coaching than the Gophers. How much of that is due to the support of school administration, alumni and boosters?

I have a friend who is a huge UT Vols fan. He said people on their message boards still bring up the fact that our band did that. They loved it.
