I'd say that's going a bit far. They already were mired in a mediocre season and today was no different. The game meant nothing to them and they played like it. I'm happy for our kids and they deserve everything they got today. Iowa is still going bowling...even if it is a crappy one.

Once Northwestern dumped Iowa two weeks ago, and it looked very likely the Hawks would be rolling into TCF on a two game losing skid, this looked liked a very real possibility. Season of BCS aspirations "lost" for Iowa and the Gophers with two weeks to get ready for the game.

No matter how you slice it, great great way to end the season and great way to send out the seniors.
