Just said all this during broadcast of Iowa State-Kansas game. What an idiot.

As if we don't already have enough bad press. Let's add some false info to the situation Hubert.

Thats one thing that has really got out of control. Ive read so many uninformed comments about Mbakwe it makes me sick. People have no idea what they are talking about. The whole situation is nothin but bad publicity for Minnesota.

I caught a bit of that as well, they said Mbakwe violated his parole. The things you can learn from Hubie.

This isnt the first time. I am sure you guys will remember last year how everyone said we beat OSU when they didnt have Turner, gophs seem to get the shaft from some national pub or everyone not named Andy Katz

I expected a retraction during the game. None was forth coming. The BTN might be big business now, but their still amateurs

This has happened so often that it makes me wonder if the details of other teams' issues are typically reported incorrectly as well - makes it hard to take anything many in the media say seriously. Also makes it hard to commend or criticize a team/player etc. for actions and disciplines assigned knowing how likely you are hearing incorrect info.

I don't like Hubert Davis. Compared to the other analysts, he makes more off-the-wall predictions (and usually is wrong more than the other analysts). This fool went on national TV and picked UNC (his alma mater) to win at Duke last season (a game Duke would win easily, a game that was statistically over with more than 10 minutes to go in the game because it was such a massive blowout) - I don't know what screams "homer" more than him picking UNC (in the midst of an NIT season) to win on the road at Duke (the eventual national champs) last year. How he continues to have a job with ESPN surprises me, but they keep Desmond Howard as well for some reason.

What does that have to do with what Hubert Davis said on an ESPN broadcast? Or, what Clark Kellogg kept saying (regarding Turner) on a CBS broadcast? Neither example in this thread have anything to do with anything that was or wasn't said on BTN.

My own personal opinion is that the BTN guys are more well-informed about the happenings of the Big Ten than the other, more national chains. And, that makes sense since the BTN guys need only worry about knowing the Big Ten. The national franchise guys have more to concern themselves with and it shows. There are notable exceptions to that, with some national guys well-informed about all (Herbstreit, Bilas).

Sounds like an assignment for Dave Mona.
