Minnesota coaches are speaking with recruits over FaceTime "more than ever before," head coach PJ Fleck said.

"It’s the main focus of what we’re doing right now," Fleck said. "Because when this does kick back up, we want to be ahead of the game. We don’t want to be caught up. We want to be ahead of the game."

Leave it to Coach Fleck and Gopher Athletics staff to "change their best" and to quickly adapt to changes. In some ways, this is quite powerful in that the parents/significant others can sit in and get a virtual tour. They probably saw more and are able to speak with more people than if they had relied on on campus visits alone. It will just make it more powerful when the recruits and their families come to visit.

I think PJ Fleck stumbled into something here that may work as an adjunct to the actual live visits.
