Just wondering if you wanted to throw out some numbers now. We can look back at this thread in 3 years and see who was right...

5. He'll get as long as his namesake Jim Wacker. It's almost uncanny how they both have incredibly stupid names.

He may not get fired

The question is, how long before Joel is forc...allowed to "resign". If he's still in place by next fall, I will support the team, but expect nothing going forward.

My vote is he last longer than Maturi. After that, it's up to him.

He will be here until he moves up to a bigger job, just like at all of his previous stops.

Minimum of 2. There's a chance the new AD will want 'his guy'. Most likely he'll get 4/5 like anyone else. I would hope we're not paying him huge $$ with huge buyouts.

I am forcing myself to have every confidence that it will be many years before we are looking for a new coach.

The groundswell of support for Horton after just two victories gives me confidence that Kill will get the support of the core fans after only a single big victory. We will have several opportunities (most at home) for a significant victory over a hated rival.

KILL! Maim! Pillage! Burn!
KILL, maim, pillage, burn!
Eat Babies! Badger Babies!!!!

Give the guy a chance. He has proven he knows how to coach. Who knows how he'll do in the Big 10. He's proved that he knows football. People were talking about hiring UMD's coach, this guy is much, much better. This isn't the home run hire we were all looking for, but he does know how to coach.

Hopefully he has no buy out so when he goes to Valley City State we won't have any financial obligations

There will likely be a coaching search in 5 years when Kill leaves us for a better opportunity. By then we will be the ones sad to see him go.

First opportunity: 9/3/2011
Against a depleted, sanctioned USC team in LA.

Also of note: 9/17/2011 Miami(OH) @ TCF

He just lost to Miami of Ohio this week. Can he reverse the curse next year? Will be interesting.
