...Devoe Joseph dribbled to the corner and faked for an open shot that bounced off the rim at the buzzer, and Damian Johnson’s off-balance tip-in came a split-second late to spoil an inspired comeback by the Gophers...

It was not even close.

not much. probably no more than a couple tenths of a second. which brings into question (at least for me) whether the officials called the timeout quick enough. felt like there should have been a little more than 4.2 seconds left.

Tip in was LATE but by less than a second.

Also Tubby started to call the Timeout as soon as Devoe crossed the 1/2 court line. With the aid of the DVR there were 5.8 seconds left when Tubby made his first motion to a TO. Head 2 referees ignored him and trailing ref gave it to him at 4.2. It seems that should be reviewed.

It's not even a matter of reviewing, it's a matter of the rule. The rule is that the clock stops when the ref awards the timeout.

Look at it on Tivo....should of had an extra 1.2 seconds for the timeout...and johnson tipped it in within a second of the buzzer (but the Purdue guy pulled back at the buzzer).

Long enough for my to sit down in my seat, slump, and hold my head in my hands. Some people starting cheering and I thought perhaps a late foul had been called by Hightower, since it usually takes a few seconds for people to decipher his hand signals.

Okay, people, no more discussion about the Purdue game. Craw0092 has declared the topic closed. Move on.

Definitely after the buzzer...but I think that Hightower and crew should have at least gone to the monitor to confirm. That's typical I believe?
