recruits come and visit during a weekend with an actual game

i know we had a bunch for the michigan game

if it is open and up to us...........can we do it on October 3rd next year which is our first confernce home game against bucky

i like our chances in this game.......it will still be warm and a win against bucky in the new stadium.......how the hell could they turn us down?

or dont we have a choice

I think most in-state recruits gets tickets to all the games, so their "official" visits might be earlier or later than others. For the out-state recruits, it probably depends on their schedules.

Either way, didn't Mason almost always wait until after the season to host recruits? Not only would the recruits miss the games, but they also got to visit during Winter, a double bonus.

ah friggin what

mason did what????

I was thinking about this a few days ago, and I would like to get the guys on campus as soon as possible. The atmosphere on campus and at the game for Air Force will be incredible, so that would be my first choice. From there the other best games would be California, Wisconsin (first home BT game, against our biggest rival, etc. - and no need to be embarrased as the stadium will be 90+% maroon and gold for a change) and the homecoming game.

But the atmosphere on campus for the Air Force game will probably be unlike anything we've ever seen.

Go Gophers!!

Personally my vote would be for the Wisconsin game or Homecoming. I am in a fraternity and we have been notified that we might want to create a house position called "gameday chair" or something. Basically this person would be responsible for dealing with everything that will happen on gameday for homecoming. The U is planning some crazy stuff for next years homecoming. It will be insane.

I agree with you on the atmosphere, but there is one huge thing you have to remember in this day and age of recruiting...Iwhen you blow a kid away really early with a visit it gives every other school quite awhile to change his feeling before NSD. I think this is why most coaches like to do it on homecoming which is usually halfway through the season.

Yea, thats a tough call for the U. Much better to get them in during early fall, but I think the closer to signing day the better just so they don't have so much time to change their mind?
