Anybody have any info or heard anything?

I know this game is cheaper than Nebraska, Penn St and Wiscy and its Homecoming, so I'd think it should be a good turnout. Butts in the seats? My guess is 45,000+.

Looks like rain. that should result in a lot of unused tickets because, you know, wet.

That's a bummer. Hoping the storms pass a bit earlier in the day but I guess people might still be scared off.

Lots of unsold tickets still when I looked the other day.

They just announced the Twins Yankees start time for the Saturday game and it’s a 4pm game. Not sure if that will make much difference but two friends of mine who were thinking of going now are not.

That's too bad. I could see if it was a home game, but it's more than easy to stream any game you want on your smartphone these days. Then catch the last half at a bar nearby.

I think the real question is, how are pizza sales going?

Yep that is what I was thinking

That's a lot of data usage...wifi at the stadium is hit and miss.

I guess it depends on an individual's data plan. I streamed at least three Twins games this summer while I was driving on road trips.

I guess the other unknown variable is what kind of reception one may have while sitting in a stadium with 40000 + other people

I will be at the game. Planning on staying to the end for the band's post game show.

I am on my own Saturday.

The U of M will announce a crowd in the 42,000 to 45,000 range. However, the actual amount of live bodies in the stands won't surpass 35,000. The team is 4-0, but the narrow wins mean most casual fans and media aren't fully on board. Meanwhile Illinois is off to a disappointing start (they lost to Eastern Michigan at home), has little in the way of name value and isn't a legacy program that casual fans will come to see like Ohio State, doesn't travel fans in great numbers, and doesn't have a lot of alumni here. The forecast of rain early will hurt walkup because even if the rain is gone by the afternoon, if it's cloudy and cool in the aftermath, it creates the perception that rain is coming even if it isn't likely.

Last I checked there were between 8,000 and 9,000 tickets available through the gophers website. I can check again tonight and post an update, and I will do the same for the Nebraska game as well.

Of course, it doesn’t help that the ticket office has bumped up the price to $50 on upper level seats anticipating a spike in demand... and the kicker is there is no sign of that spike coming.

Regardless, there will definitely be a lot of empty seats AND unsold tickets come Saturday.

I'll be there. Bringing friend who is not a gopher regular. Maybe I can get them converted (unlikely, but they're type to jump on bandwagon if it comes to that)

Every other of the stadium TVs will likely be set to the Twins game. Did that in the past. Wouldn’t be surprised if they do a scoreboard inset. Still can’t relate to missing a live sporting event to watch one on TV...

Flying in for friends & family homecoming festivities & the game. We should have a group that will take up 2 rows in 133

Hope it is an easy game to sell!
