Sumlin's teams are not strong on defense. Why would anyone want to watch that for another 5 years until our AD has to let him go? There are many better coaches available.
If the Danny Hope experiment doesn't work at Purdue Sumlin will likely be the first one called. Keep that in mind since Sumlin would probably leave the Gophers in a hearbeat for West Lafayette. You all may disagree but so be it.
UH doesn't look good on either side of the ball. We need someone who can attract better assistants.
By the way anyone wondering why Houston is struggling should ask themselves who Case Keenum and where he is.
They're a mite concerning defensively. I understand they just switched to a 3-4 and have a new coordinator and all; but when the announcers refer to UH's problems taking angles and making tackles "all season," I get a little skeeved. Young Case may not be able to solve those problems.
Worry not, though; he's still in my top 5.
Hear a lot about Houston losing their QB, but the Houston defense just gave up 40 to true FR QB.
