Apparent suicide by David Salinas... founder of AAU Houston Select (their 2014 kids were playing in the 16U division of the Best Buy Classic this week - including a wonderful prospect in Justise Winslow..and the 2012 Defenders made it to the semis).
Some troubling information regarding a potential fraudulent financial scheme has now hit the mainstream media and information about those coaches who had business dealings with Salinas will continue to grow...
Not good. Obviously from a financial standpoint for some people and the fact that a guy is dead is bad enough; very sad... but, also in terms of NCAA basketball.. not a good appearance if you're a coach investing money with a guy who has players that come up through his program and potentially wind up at your school. Could get interesting... and uncomfortable for some.
