Hoopmasters Says (Clipped) JC Big Man To Visit Gophers

One of the top junior college big men in the country, 6-8 235-pound Dwight McCombs from Moraine Valley CC, IL is getting ready to take some visits, starting with this weekend.

"Dwight McCombs will visit Murray State this weekend," Davenport told Hoopmasters. "He will then visit Arkansas, April 9-11 and Minnesota the following weekend of April 16-18th."

McCombs will also consider taking additional visits to South Alabama, Penn State, and Missouri if needed. He is still open to listening to schools, especially this month as coaches make moves.

He averaged 24 points and 13 rebounds for Moraine Valley this past winter. He has really worked on his face-up game from 15-feet and has become a dominating finisher to go with his ability to control the glass. He has all the tools to come in and make an immediate impact at the high major level next fall.

I see that he played a year at Miami Ohio in 2007-8. He was a deep bench player for them averaging 7.3 min/gm, 0.8 pts and 1.3 reb.
