Was just looking at the schedule. Why in the world can't you have the Homecoming game at a nice time. I mean really ... a Homecoming game at 11:00 a.m.

Same reason as always. TV.

I know

I know it is all about TV but you would think each school would be able to make an exception for
their Homecoming game.

I love the 11 AM games. I drink less during tailgating since I'm still schwasted from the night before.

We are heavily committed to a spending "arms race" in college sports. We play when they tell us because we are in an endless search for ever more money. Indeed, I wonder what we would not sell for more money. Correct answer: not much.

Wasted

We need a few more wasted folks in the stands instead of all the passive fans sitting on their hands. I don't mean Wisconsin wasted like the guy three rows in front of me last year. Just a little less inhibited than the normal fan:).

Done. Our whole group is usually tanked. And obnoxious to the opposing band/spirit squads. But we'll give the USC cheerleaders this year a reprieve.

[sigh]
I really enjoyed the past 14 hours since your last rant about an arms race, etc, etc, etc.

I'm disappointed in the 11 AM start time for the Homecoming game for the selfish reason of wanting to be there. Twin Cities Marathon is that morning and I'm running in it for the first time....

What kind of exception are you looking for? TV doesn't care about the schools, they care about ad money. Are you asking for an exception that lets the U not be on TV for Homecoming week?

He might be running the 10K.

Boy is my face red. I am running the full marathon but was looking at the date for the 10k.

I officially do not care about the 11 AM start time for the homecoming game!...Although I suppose if I'm going to run 26.2 miles the next day I probably won't drink as much as I normally would.

I will be tailgating with water and carbs on Saturday --- my advice is to save the beer for post-race. Good luck!

Drunk fans make spirited fans! I approve. The USC Song Girls need to be harassed. Maybe because their all there for acting. Well I know what kind of films they will be doing....hahaha

You gotta carb load man. Only p*ssies don't carb load.

After the 6:30 Fri Sat program killing start times- i'll accept 11:00 and love every minute.
