The Home side of the field did not have the benefit of the sun today.

For Air Force and Cal...sitting in the sun on the Bisitor side was warm to hot...almost uncomfortably so.

How was the lack of sun on the Home side today? I'd say we had a 6-8 degree perceived swing in temps as a function of the sunshine today on the North side. When the sun was out...it felt good. Did the lack of any sun-based heating affect anyone on the south side?

Also, we had ice in the 212 upper deck row when we arrived today. Mrs. Billd and I will bring a little baggie of rock salt with us in the future to reduce the slipping hazard during the game. Did the ice ever melt on the home side today?

didnt seem too bad on home side. but talk about slippery. i almost bit it on the concourse, and i saw two other people almost wipe out. good thing i'm a world class athlete and kept my balance :) the run off from the upper level was dripping down from the stair pad. i saw buckets of water underneath them...

I'm glad I decided on the visitor side...

It was quite pleasant sitting in the sun Saturday. I'm in 214.

I was very jealous of the sun folk yesterday after loving my spot during the cal game!

I was over dressed in section 105, when the sun was shinning we were peeling layers off. We were also out of the wind completely at the top of the section. It was great.

As an experiment, I watched the game from both the Home and Visitors sides of the field to see if being in the sun helped. It didn't.

personally i dont mind being in the shade when its cold out. i will make that trade for when it is hot out because i dont really enjoy being uncomfortably hot when im at a football game. i just dressed warm and i was fine and dandy. i saw the flags blowing but i wasnt feeling much wind or even a breeze. how was the wind on the visitors side?

Are you being serious? There was a HUGE difference when the sun went behind the clouds. I'd say 5-10 degrees warmer in the sun, no question.

Wind in 212

There was a enough wind prior to the fans packing in that I decided to keep my coat on. Once you had someone sitting to your right (west), it was fine in seats 11-12.

It might have been a different story for folks on the aisle or the visitors all the way to the open end of the stadium.
