Thats all I can say about the refs in this high school gym.

Bad call on Joe's charge call. Do all refs love to call the charge? Its getting out of hand.
One thing about Tubby that kills me - is his 1st substitions when Mav, Chip, etc. and all come in - Did we even get a shot with that group in?

I must have missed the rule change this year on the charge call that makes it a charge if the defensive player throws his body in front of the offensive player and falls down. (as long as he is outside the tiny circle they added)

It has gotten worse since the regular season ended. The charge calls in the NCAA tournament have been awful. The NIT has been almost as bad.

Last night in the Oregon game they called an awful charge at the end of game on the UW player, then called Devoe Joseph for an equally bad charge a moment later.

This is an epidemic. With this type of officiating years ago, the Flying Illini, the Fab 5, and M. Jordan would have been nothing.

Official just like the dramatic pointing that brings attention to them.

Totally agree. It is out of control. Players don't even make an attempt at the ball anymore.

Ed Hightower anyone?

Whoa whoa whoa. Ed hightower does not do dramatic points, he performs Oscar worthy one man shows.

Funny, I didn't see the home cookin'. I think MTSU had a very very slight advantage in reffing. This was no B1G home-cooking here...if this game was in Madison and everything played out the same way the refs would have bent over for Bo and had Wisconsin winning by at least 12-14.

Well that play where 3 of our guys went down, should have been a foul when the guy Austin was on forearmed him to the ground.

or when Dre took the shoulder to the face because the elbow didn't get there first!

They DID call that an offensive foul. As for the 3 Gophers down at the end; Austin kind of tripped right into a pick, Joe got fouled on the rebound (which was the missed call in that set, but it wasn't obvious), and Rodney cramped through no apparent fault of MTSU. Overall, I still think the refs did ok today.

In the second half, they called, by my count, six fouls on MTSU in the action of play (i.e. not intentional fouls). In that time, we had at least double that. They were in the double bonus, and they had only five team fouls. Both teams shot 24 FTs, but half of ours were after intentional fouls. I thought the refs gave a big advantage to MTSU.

No way Austin going down had anything to do with a pick, cause there wasn't one. Replay showed an obvious forearm knocking him down.
