If Hoke is our guy, don't look for the official announcement to occur until after Dec 15. Hoke's buyout with SDSU decreases from $1.5M to 1M after that date

That's no reason to wait. If everyone knows he's leaving, these things can be negotiated. I'm sure SDSU would gladly accept $1.1 million to let him out next week rather then get $1 million two weeks later. Waiting longer runs the risk of it falling through, everyone else being off the table, and ending up with Trestman. Not worth it. Plus we need all the recruiting time we can get.

Correct. It also would have been cheaper to wait until December to fire Brew but we didn't do that. I don't think these decisions are being driven by small money, rather they are being driven by big money (season ticket revenue and premium seat donations).
