I've been doing a lot of idle thinking ahead of our game against Rutgers in regards to how Athan being at the helm might affect the result. Something along the lines of his former teammates and coaching staff being aware of his habits or how he plays and taking advantage of that, or the shoe ending up on the other foot with Athan and Ciarrocca perhaps having some familiarity with how we tick on either side of the ball (albeit with how we've developed away from how we played with them around that might be a moot point). Are there any recent examples that come to mind of this sort of matchup happening? I'm sure with how much shuffling around happens with the portal at this point it's happened at least a few times but nothing comes to mind off the top of my head.

I'm guessing Rutgers will be fired up. We need to start fast.

Here's what I found looking at some transfers
  • Baker Mayfield went 3-0 Vs. his former team Texas Tech at Oklahoma
  • DJ Uiagalelei lost to his former team Clemson at Florida State
  • Max Johnson was 0-2 Vs. his former team LSU while at Texas A&M
  • Jordan Travis transferred from Louisville to Florida State. The Seminoles went 3-2 while he was at FSU, but he played sparingly the first couple years. He went 2-0 against them in 2022 and 2023.
