I would have to agree with the masses on here that I am not overly impressed by any of the so-called finalists. Those coaches like Sumlin, Golden, Edsall and Hoke all have their good points, but none really grab me as being the right guy that would really get fans charged up around here.
The guy that would do this and the guy who would be the guy who could win big here would be Mike Leach. He is a major risk, but I think he has tremendous upside. I would hate to see him go to a rival school because I could see him winning big. Sumlin, Golden, Edsall or Hoke just wouldn't strike that same type of fear. If we can't or won't get Leach, and Belotti is still unattainable, then Phil Fulmer would be my choice. He knows what it is like to recruit at a top level and he has coached in some big games, including the national championship.
I think whoever we get will be better than Brewster by a longshot. At least it sounds like we are getting guys who have coached before that will bring in some assistants who know what system they want to run and we probably won't change the offense around every year....ah the memories! Well whoever we get I will support them and hopefully they will be the one to take us to the promised land!!
