But I’m also a little tired of the Fire Ben Johnson thread.

I'm enjoying the recent run as much as the next fan, but it shouldn't feel like we made the Sweet 16 because we won consecutive road games against an NIT team and a future 8/9-seed, lol.

I think that feeling of elation tells you how brutal it's been for all of us.

I think Ben needs to make the tournament to get another year, and that's a more than fair expectation. It should have been applied to last year if I'm being honest.

I will say, even tournament teams under Ricard and Tubby were constantly sliding this time of year, trying not to fall out of bracket projections. I can't think of many Februaries during my fandom with this much road success this late in the season. Props to Ben and the team for that, but one month doesn't define a four-year coaching stint (nor should it).
