listening to jason derusha's absolutely clueless quasi-rant on wcco 830 around 12:30pm today in regards to the new seat donation fees in mariucci and williams arenas was comical, to say the least. his is filling in for another talentless hack. that no talent, funny looking, balding putz from marquette named jason derusha was just wrong on so many levels and was attempting to basically take cheap shots at the gopher hockey and basketball programs. and his little becky badger alum and dork of a side kick, adam carter, was just as clueless.

basically, it seemed like he was just trying to rile some people up and create a controversy where there isn't one. they were purposely leaving out key bits of info in this stupid little 5 minute segment. like the huge fact that the gophers are one of the last teams in the big ten to add a seat donation program for basketball and hockey. and that this is one of the main ways for an athletic department to raise money for facility and program improvements. to build things LIKE PRACTICE FACILITIES. he tried saying that the gopher hockey and basketball programs just absolutely suck and are terrible. was acting stupidly incredulous during the entire segment and was essentially saying that the U of M in his mind has absolutely NO RIGHT to be adding a seat donation program to either sports. of course they didn't take any calls afterwards. cowards.

hey wcco 830: still butt hurt about losing golden gopher sports on your airwaves because you wanted to try and low ball them on radio rights? yeah, me thinks so. clueless idiots on the airwaves. what a lame ass segment by a couple of idiotic d-bags.

Another talking head trying to create news instead of report it. Be honest if your editorializing, but to cause controversy that isn't there is bull*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#*&^!#. One of the reason I watch and listen so little to "reporters" now days. They all have their own agenda and/or want to create a name for themselves. Unfortunately, because its being talked about here, he will have full chubby when he reads it. "Hey mom, their talking about me!". Its short-lived DOUSHA and you will do more damage then good.

As a whole, I have never seen a media market like the TC that likes to beat down all their athletics...all for the sake of "news".
 

Jason and I were classmates - I've got nothing but good things to say about him.

That said, no idea what he really said based on the OP. I'd be curious what exactly some of the comments were that got the OP so upset... if the claim was truly that the Gophers suck and are worthless, then I'd be upset by it too.. but, I'm guessing that's not exactly what was said.

nope, that is pretty much what he said and was trying to claim. jason derusha is a putz basically "living off" the "good question" segment created by former WCCO TV reporter and native minnesotan, ben tracy.

Criticizing the media is one thing, but this is a little heavy. Are you sure you don't have any anger management issues?
 


Just because everyone else is doing something doesn't neccessarily make it right but to single out the Gophers is wrong.

I don't agree with the policy but I do understand it.

Dude, you gotta calm down man. I just listened to the segment and kept waiting and listening for reasons to get my undies-in-a-bunch, but I just can't disagree with too much of what he was saying. Nothing he said was inflammatory.... your response to him and your post is inflammatory... do you have a chubby?

I don't really hear much to be outraged about...they mention that the majority of B10 programs do the same thing, so they're not even really singling out the gophs.

These guys obviously don't know what they're talking about, but it's not that inflammatory. Pretty much sounds like any 3 dolts sitting around a bar talking about the sporting life. Except these guys are presumably sober and so am I at the moment, so it's not really worth listening to.

He also mentions the highest tier season ticket is higher than Michigan, OSU, Wisconsin and Michigan State...which makes for a good talking point for a fake journalist I suppose. Ooh Tubby isn't Izzo and some seats cost more...we wuz robbed!

I'd like to hear Jason Yuhas or Bill Lunn or Frank Vascellaro weigh in on college sports ticket prices.
