Henry Ellenson is really good

Not true. Justin gray according to 247 sports (could be wrong you never know) had interest from Virginia and Miami. He also had offers from Standford, Harvard and a few others.

And do you even english bro? seriously those last 2 sentences made no sense.
Nate Mason had offers from Kansas Tate and Virginia. Not really sure what you're trying to say are you asking for the gopher comparison of Justin Gray. I would also argue Tech doesn't have anyone coming in Coffey, Curry or even Hurt's level

I agree with you I was really confused by The-real truth's comment

Never mind, very tired and ready to go home. I was jokingly just responding to the Iowa guy who is thinking that TT recruits have no offers. The PG the recruited is scoring lots of points in Florida highschool. If his offer list is not as shiny as those you mentioned, it is because of many other factors. By the way, I live in Rochester and have seen Hurt quiet a bit. Don't be too excited about the kid. It will take about 3-4 years of college coaching before he can compete in B1G.

I live in Rochester. ...

Is the old Mayo Civic Auditorium (near Mayo Field) still standing? I know they play at the Civic Center now, but the Mayo Auditorium was always a great place to watch high school regional basketball games, a real bandbox with a ton of character.

Nate Mason did really well against those players that had no offers from other schools last month in Puerto Rico. You are right he is far from it. He has a player called Justin Gray. You'll hear from him soon. He got injured last year. He also had zero offers from other schools. Can't even compare him to the wing players that Gophers have these days that I don't even know his name. Oh wait we don't have one.

I misunderstood your comment then. I thought you were saying TT was getting closer to signing highly recruited players. The example you gave sure doesn't show a trend that direction. I have no idea if the kid will be any good. May end up being an all American for all I know. That wasn't my point.

I don't think anyone expects Hurt to come in and dominate the big ten if that's what you're implying. If I had to guess he will be somewhere around the 10th or 11th guy in the rotation playing 5-10 minutes a game next year. Down the line I think he can be solid, seems like the type of guy who can do a little bit of everything, works his arse off in games, seems like he could be one of those guys that pisses the other team off like Craft did for the Buckeyes

Auditorium is still there as far as i know. They are doing construction on the civic center as a whole, but I'm pretty sure that won't affect the auditorium. Agreed, easily the best venue in rochester area

Big 3 last year. Henry this year. All these players that could have been a part of Gopher's community if.......... Instead, we get to see the Gophers lose to SD teams. Oh wait, it is a rebuilding year. Sorry, I forgot how great next year was going to be with the addition of 2 4* players and a couple of high profile transfers.

Does Tubby play Wally enough to placate him and his parents?

Sorry SS, I didn't see this earlier. Mayo Civic Center is under major construction. Meetings still take place there as well as art exhibitions. I am not sure if they will play basketball there this year. I will investigate this.

I don't know how much the stuff about their parents is true. All I remember about Wally was during the Tip-off that I attended. He was defended by Austin but had a bunch of 3's in a row. I am not sure how good he is but with the current roster, he could have got a few minutes if that would have brought his brother here. I am just saying.........

Thanks. I'm talking about the auditorium, where they played regional HS basketball games (Section 1 in AA and A) in the late 70s and early 80s. Just curious if it's used for basketball anymore. That arena wreaked of tournament HS basketball.

Yes it is still used for volleyball and basketball. This year, I am not sure though. I will find out. I do like that place also. I have gone to a few games as well as a few concerts.

In hindsight, it might have been best for Pitino just to play along with the Ellensons in order to get Henry. No way to know at the time how we'd have unused scholarships anyway, each of the last 2 years.

I'll bet Wally doesn't take up a scholarship for 2 more years at Marquette anyway.
