"Helmet School" goes down to NW

This makes me happy for 3 reasons

1 - It's a wisconsin loss - duh
2 - Hopefully it refocuses our players for NW
3 - Let down for NW next week??

P.S. wisconsin is not a helmet school. They can't even get the M to be right side up on their helmets ;)

Man, I thought earlier in the season NW was a sure win . Not as confident right now.

Ha! Well played.

It is an M when we bury Bucky's face in the ground!

While I agree, I think that was just as much about WI making boneheaded plays as NW dominating. Don't get me wrong, NW played well and they will be a tough opponent.

This is back to back really strong game for NW. I have a feeling next week will be a battle, being at home think the Gophers have a good chance to come out on top but wouldn't be shocked to see a tight game between a couple of pretty evenly matched teams.

Northwestern always seems to beat someone they aren't supposed too playing them here is a big plus. I hope that our players focus 100% on the Wildcats and play error free, The four interceptions thrown by the Badgers, gave the game away.

They do wear helmets. It's only their fans who have the effects of playing extensively without a helmet.

Yeah, hopefully this wakes up our guys to the fact that NW can play some.

Wisconsin did rush for 280. QBs just made a lot of bad plays. I think we will be fine offensively.

I'm not sure what you are talking about. Most of their fans wear helmets too.

There isn't a spot in this world where Wisconsin is a helmet school.

Has anyone (cough, cough, ruppert, cough) been over to any of their boards to see what the reaction is?

Personally, I have no interest in heading over.

I have...its pretty much what you would expect. Most of them are realistic enough to realize that without a decent QB, they're not going to do much. Good Lord, your running back gains 259 yards, and you lose??

Of course, there is plenty being blamed, I'd say in order of "blame"; Anderson, Ludwig, Mcevoy, Stave and finally, oldy buy goodie, the officials. One guy, if you go through the game thread blamed the officials after just about every series..holding, of course. Even though holding could be called on virtually every down.

The Badgers are facing a turning point in the season. They are struggling with an offensive identity. The QBs were horrendous, BUT, they really do not have a go to receiver for a decent QB to throw to. Going forward, I expect Stave is the guy. He had one very nice drive down the field and had he not threw an interception on first down into the end-zone, the mood in Buckyville might be different today.

Stave was their QB last year and their offense was just fine. I agree that the QB play deserves a lot of blame, but I would also add that it's their lack of playmakers in the passing game and lack of another good back. Lately, their offense has always had two very good backs at a time. Hill-Clay, Clay-Ball, Ball-White, and White-Gordon. I don't think Clement is as good as the others, at least not yet.

Enough said.

WISCONSIN IS NOT A HELMET SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unless you are talking about admissions standards.

Please correct the thread heading.

As I have said many times over the last two years. I don't go over there. It seems though we've enough on here that do ( frog gopher etc..) I get my feedback from them. You guys beat me up enough for attracting the Badger trolls. I learned the error of my ways. Although I'm a happy camper
too hear about the meltdown over on Beckyville.

Northwestern beating Wisconsin tells me more about Wisconsin and LSU being really mediocre than it tells me northwestern is good.

Northwestern is hot, but they aren't very good.

Uh, OK.

Watch them play. Observe what you see.

Not including sacks they gave up 8 yards per carry.
Wisconsin's quarterbacks combined to throw 12-29 with 4 interceptions and northwestern only managed to win by 6.

This is still a game the gophers should win pretty easily if the gophers don't turn the ball over.

Do you think Wisconsin is wishing they still had butthead?
