QB Jacory Harris: "Chemistry is at an all time high. Coach Fisch is one of the coolest guys I've met. He brings my confidence back." I saw this Tweet from football scoop. Maybe it will liven up the board. ;)

Sounds good but hold on...wait for the 5 level check downs and cross eyed receivers who will be running all over trying to get to their second assignment.

Perhaps he learned from his experience here and has tweaked his methods? Seemed like a pretty smart guy, so I wouldn't be surprised.

This. I wouldn't be surprised to see him do better.

Impossible, Jedd Fisch is a terrible coach and person and will doom the Miami program for the next 100 years.

maybe Carroll taught him a thing or two about coaching the college game

This kid must have been drinking.

Experience is the best teacher...unfortunately his first class started in MN as OC. He has probably learned from his mistakes...good for him. It is just the reality of it all.

When I said he'd be much better at Miami I almost got laughed off the board. He wasn't a bad coach. Inexperience+poor talent+injuries+ system change = angry fans

What is he suppose to say??? Coach Fisch is the worst coach in college football. I cannot believe we hired this bum!

I agree with some of the other sentiments on this board, you don't get to that point coaching for some of the brightest football minds in the world without being a pretty sharp guy yourself. He failed miserably here for a multitude of reasons but i'm sure those failures will make him a better coach down the road.

I think Fisch came to Minnesota thinking he was the smartest man in the room and he tried to install a "cute" system that was poor for the college game. I think you have to place more of the failure of the offense on Fisch, sure there were injuries, but in the end its the OC's job to manipulate an offense to help make the players successful regardless of injuries. Does this mean that Fisch is a bad coach? No, not if he takes his experiences at MN and learns from them.
But he does deserve a considerable amount of the blame for the inept offense as a lot of the downfalls were of his own doing. Does changing Weber's throwing motion ring a bell?

There are no geniuses on the chalkboard.

They all know the same stuff. There are no top secret plays or formation.

Effective coaches combine intelligence with the ability to teach and motivate.

Fisch couldn't teach, which makes everything else moot.

c'mon gopherjay, that's a complete exaggeration! Fish-sticks will have at least 8 or 9 level check downs with the wideouts trying to get to their 3rd if not 4th assignment (of course this all assumes that they can get the play off in the first place)

If fish-sticks had stuck around, he'd might've challenged me over ownership of the following quote.

I don't know how he'll do at Miami..

But the thing I hate him most about, is that he openly admitted that Minnesota was only a stepping stone job. Then he came in with that attitude and completely SUCKED.

^ Agree with Formo.

Actually, I don't completely mind if someone says they have bigger aspirations than being offensive coordinator, but then they damn well better be a decent offensive coordinator. His offense was wretched.

I would be pretty apprehensive if I were a Miami fan about the offense this year.

This thread brings back all the bad memories. Why relive the nightmare!

What I never understood about Fisch is that he would continuously run ineffective plays. It was as though he refused, out of stubborness, to adopt his style to fit the team's chemistry. It was very much, my way or the highway and in the end, he ended up hitting the highway. It will be fun to see how Miami does this year, their patience is very thin; a few stumbles and the fan base will get very ornery.
