“I don’t know if you get excited for Gopher football, or you keep it like (a straight line) because you’re the media,” the coach said. “But somewhere in your soul, you’ve got to at least be excited because you cover our team, to see what these guys can do, right?
“… I’m excited just like everybody else, and that’s where there’s going to be guys that emerge, that everybody goes, ‘Wow! Wow!’ And then there’s going to be people like, ‘Well, I think he can play better.’ That’s how the season is going to go.”
