I was sitting there listening to the Harbaugh press conference and couldn't help think that this guy sounds just like Brewster did in his press conferences. A little too rah, rah for the pros. He made need to adjust that a bit. The difference I guess is that he has the resume to back up his exuberance.

I love how confidence is frowned upon these days in football. We can't have coaches rufflin' any feathers now can we!

Big difference between the two coaches. Harabaugh has the right to talk like that being a proven winner in a major conference.

exactly

I think that is what I said. He was gushing more than just talking. He sounded just like Brewster but has a resume to back it up.

Nice adding of the last sentence.

Baalke: "Mr. York sir, we have some news regarding Harbaugh."
CEO York: "He's accepted the offer, right? Great!"
Baalke: "Well, yes, but there's something else. I'm afraid I have some bad news. Character issues, sir."
York: "Is it about his seven mistresses? That's nothing we can't keep under wraps."
Baalke: "I'm afraid it's worse sir...much worse. He has..."
York: "Spit it out man!"
Baalke "A positive attitude."
York: "God help us."

pf, works great with college kids. Going to fall flat on pros.

Will be back in college before this 5 year contract is up.

I agree. But let's see how much exuberance Harbaugh has AFTER he watches some film of the crap that Singletary left him. He's gonna feel like a French general circa 1940 come next fall. Then again, you can win the NFC west with a 7-9 record, so maybe you can be exuberant about your chances to raise the bar to mediocrity.

If Brewster ate oatmeal for breakfast, some people would insist that we had to hire a coach who didn't eat oatmeal.

LOL -- I think you are right. I think the #1 objective for Maturi was hiring someone the complete opposite of Brewster this time around and that will probably work out very well.

I don't think he even moved his family here did he?? I wonder if anyone has bought his house yet - oh well I am sure he can afford it.
