Nice drive on the scoring TD.

Our secondary looks slow. Not sure if Mich's RB's are world class sprinters, but they look like that, otherwise our guys have pulled hammy's or something.

We could use a safety who can come up and tackle. That would help.

Croft actually looked decent so far.
We were getting a little run heavy, but I think PJ is trying to make this a short game and not throw a pick-6.

We'll need a quick stop after half then a time consuming TD drive to get back in this.

We'll also need a pick off this QB of theirs.

A) Quit with the wildcat shift crap. It's probably net us a yard or two on more than six attempts. Cut that **** out.
B) Learn to tackle. Celestin shouldn't play if he is not 100%. On the two long TD runs.....he took a wrong angle on one, and completely failed to tackle/wrap up a guy right in front of him.
C) Time to pull out some gadget plays. We're not coming back using the vanilla offense that we've shown so far. Sure....we've tried a couple new plays....but when you run them over and over again....they lose their effectiveness.
D) McCrary. He has the physical type of running style that can get us some yardage against the Michigan front. Give him the ball.

Time to start watching the 2nd season of Stranger things...

I have followed Gopher football since 1968. This is the most disappointing team in that time. Just expected so much more. I guess I was swayed by PJ and didn't expect such a drop off in performance from the offense and defense. I really don't expect we will win another game this year.

You obviously had your expectations too high because most national publications had us placing very low this year.

If this is the most disappointed you’ve been you obviously have issues with expectations.
Brewster 1-11 was less disappointing than this?
Kill 3-9 was less disappointing?
Kill/Claeys losing a coach mid year was less disappointing?

I can think of several moments in each of our previous coaches histories since Joe Salem that were more disappointing than this.

1983 - 84-13 Nebraska

1984 - 48-3 Illinois

1985 - Holtz leaving

1986 - 0-63 Oklahoma

1991 and 1992 - the seasons

Every game vs Michigan from 1989-1996

That loss to Wisconsin in 1999 when we only needed to punt the ball.
That loss to purdue with 9 seconds left.
About 7 other catastrophic losses with Glen Mason
That Michigan comeback in the Metrodome

Every game vs Wisconsin since 2004.

Iowa averaging over 38 points a game vs us from 2001-2008

So, anyway, one might be exaggerating when you say this is a low point.

Spot on post! Man alive being a fan of this team is tough, thats enough misery to last a lifetime! Yet here I am every week and every year. Why stop now right?

It's easy to get upset after a disappointing loss, but this one could have been a lot worse the way the third quarter went, and fortunately it stopped at that before a Big 12 game broke out.

Just one game.
PJ will get his against Michigan. Just not yet.

Oh, that hurts - but it's all true. We must all be masochists.
