I don't know. The world(women) is/are probably better off that this much hate is focused on something inanimate.

I believe I once met this guy at Sally's before a Michigan State Game. I walked over to him (not knowing who it was) because he was fully decked out in Hawkeye attire. He was standing next to a group of Michigan State fans (these people saw right through him and had their backs toward him) The only thing I said to him was "I think you feel a little out-numbered here being an Iowa fan". He turned to me and said it was better than being a "Goofer Fan". He asked me if I was a Season Ticket holder. I said yes, for the last 10 years. He said he is as well and sits with the visitors and cheers against the Gophers. I turned toward my daughter and said (trying to speak like he wasn't even there), "that's one of the sickest things I've ever heard....what a waste of money and time". He then started waving his hands around (no light saber?) and said I was stupid for even being a fan. My daughter stepped in and asked how Iowa's professional teams were doing? At that point, his buddy grabbed him and pulled him away.

He is indeed a sick and disturbed man.

That could be the clown from the SW metro who use to call in to WCCO on Sunday and just castigate the Gophers for..just about everything. Always claimed to have season tickets just so he could cheer against Minnesota. Rumor was that he was a Real Estate Agent. Thought he was PH once, they sounded like twins. PH was very offended. :cool:

Thanks Iceland - so this guy has a history. One thing that would lead me to believe that the guy I ran into WAS NOT *********** was the fact that he had a friend.

Bottom line: there are some Hawkeye fans that are clinically crazy.
