So for the most part, against Purdue, the tackle positions and the center position were pretty much constants; Lauer and Pirsig at the OT's, Tyler Moore at C.

But it was interesting that they rotated 4 guys for the two OG spots throughout pretty much the entire game. Foster Bush, Connor Mayes, Jon Christenson, and Bjorklund all played heavy minutes at the OG position. First things first, it sure is nice having Christenson back. Hopefully he's even closer to 100% this Saturday.

It'll be interesting to see what rotation they go with for the Nebraska game, and just WHO are the guys best-suited to be in the starting lineup.

One more interesting thing: Noticeably absent is Isaac Hayes. Wasn't he one of their higher regarded recruits a few years back? He just hasn't managed to crack the lineup and the few times I noticed that he did, he REALLY looked overmatched. Already a Junior, it'll be interesting to see if he plays some serious minutes next year with the departures of Christenson, Bjorklund, and Bush or if he gets passed up by a few younger guys.

I didn't watch close enough to see what combination yielded the best results against Purdue; the Gophers got the offense rolling so much that it didn't seem to matter after a while.

Huge, huge game Saturday. A win, followed by 2 weeks to get healthy and get ready for a tough home game against Michigan; Getting to 5-2 would be huge.

I believe a least a couple of the guys that are playing guard were limited to the amount they played because of injury. Isn't one of them playing with a bone on bone knee.

Go Gophers

Hopefully we are more desperate than Nebraska...pretty tough outllook if we can't get it done but we are soaring for two weeks if we win.

Definitely a few of them playing banged up, coming back from injury, etc. I just wonder, in a perfect world, what their starting 5 would be? I wonder if we'll see the same rotation type situation this week

Bye week couldn't be coming at a much better time. Interesting scheduling nuance that it looks like Michigan also gets a bye week prior to the Gophers-Mich game. Playing against a physical Michigan State before the Gophers worked well for the Gophers when it was Purdue; here's hoping Michigan takes a beating against MSU before they suit up at TCF in a few weeks!

Correct Bjorklund and Christenson's knee is probably not a lot better.

Kill said on Tuesday that Bjorklund and Christensen cannot take 50 snaps on their knees.

If I had to guess in a perfect world Lt Lauer RT Pirsig The guards would be Christianson and Campion with Bobek at Center. With Bush, Mayes, Bijorkland and now Moore rotating in. Or maybe Moore would start over Bobek not sure? Good group when healthy

They need to start playing on their feet, not their knees!

I'll show myself out...
