Can't imagine he doesn't draw a ton of heat for the Juan Pablo Montoya comment today. Maybe fired?

Maybe the BT network can dig up Andre Rison or Jeff Smoker for another alum in 3 straight weeks.

Fired? It was a stupid comment but I don't think it was that bad.

Same comment, wasn't it?

He also gave a weird and uncomfortable apology at the end of the game.

Its also an especially stupid comment, given that Montoya is Colombian, and not Mexico, where tacos are thought to have originated. Guess all Hispanic and Latino people look alike to Bob. What a moron.

i missed it. what did he say? heard him throw out an apology to juan pablo at the very end of the broadcast, but didn't understand why.

speaking of today's announcers. thank God for dave pasch! he was the only one in the booth who wasn't being either a complete homer (chris spielman) or a total j-bag (bob griese). it seemed that dave pasch was the only one of the three willing to speak up when many of the horrible one-sided calls by the refs continued to go against minnesota (i.e. the osu interception in the 4th quarter when there was blatant pass interference by osu). he would ask them if they agreed that such and such was a blown call and the other two would just play dumb, call it incidental, or ignore him altogether. pretty bush league on the part of speilman and griese today.

They ran a NASCAR promo and showed the leaders for the Chase or something. Spileman asked where Montoya was and Griese said he was "out having a taco" or something like it.

I thought Spielman was OK for a bit and then they brought up his radio show in Columbus and all bets were off.

They need to be more careful. On the clear interference that wasn't called on Coleman's interception, both Pasch and Griese were all over it.

Spielman does the homer BS. He's okay as an analyst, but they should keep hiim off OSU games.

I thought that Spielman had a bad game. He was a homer and provided few insights. Herbstriet is much more objective about Ohio State.

In case anyone missed the broadcast, here is a brief excerpt:

"Let's take a look at Pryor's feet as he reaches for a cup of water on the sidelines..."

"See! His feet are better this week."

"And he's not grabbing the cup of water the way he did against Purdue."

*gopher pass falls incomplete*

"Look at the way Terrell Pryor chews on his mouthguard when he's on the sidelines."

"That tells me he's hungry for more action, he wants to get back out there."

"Maybe he's nervous??"

"Yeah but he's had 18 starts, he shouldn't be nervous..."

Anybody else hear Corso on Game Day this morning?
"Arkansas shot their wad in the Florida game."
Herbstreit was laughing so hard he couldn't talk. Then said "Can you say that on TV?"

Interesting that you say that (i totally agree by the way) because everyone at OSU bitches about how he is so disrespectful to the Buckeyes...yada, yada, yada.

LOL! Steve - that was the worst, most one-sided broadcasting I have ever had to endure. I understand Pryor is a blue chip player, but it was sickening. Very poor job from the guys in teh booth. Too bad the announcers couldn't find ANYTHING or ANYONE else to talk about.
