And some of you out there think that 17 & 18 yr old kids will just never "get it". Mr. Ragnow certainly seems to get it. He shows a lot more maturity, class, poise, understanding and smarts in this tweet than many adults on this board, or adults who work in media in this town, ever will.

So annoyed by dumb reporters and Coach Kill's epilepsy, players don't think it's a problem, fans don't, recruits don't at all, only you do
— Frank Ragnow (@KNARFWONGAR) September 17, 2013

He should commit tomorrow and and tell Judd & Dubay to f*** off in the process. I would like that. I would like that alot.

yeah, i saw you retweeted ragnow's post to judd zulgad. and of course zulgad kind of came back at both frank ragnow and you trying to discredit/belittle the validity of ragnow's tweet....essentially in defense of his little star tribune cubicle buddy jim souhan. brilliant part was that right after that ryan burns of gopher illustrated jumps in to completely discredit zulgad's attempt at playing spin doctor by letting him know that he speaks with gopher recruits all the time (something zulgad and souhan never do). and that none of them have ever honestly brought up coach kill's epilepsy as being an issue for them or something that has turned them off of minnesota.

I like how Judd is insinuating Frank is lying. Not sure calling an 18 year old kid a liar on twitter is good for him.

No Judd, but if a kid did think it was an issue, he wouldn't take a firm stance the opposite way.

Who is a bigger prick? Zulgad or druggie Dubay?

Why would the kid tweet it if he did not believe it. He gains nothing by saying what he said. If he had any issues with Coach Kill and this issue he would have said nothing. My hat is off to Ragnow for standing up and being accounted for with Coach Kill.

This is why he is paid to talk about people playing sports. He is not smart enough to do anything else.

Exactly, he's not even a commit, he has nothing to gain by posting it.

Did anyone tell him this? Would like to hear what his response is, if he has one.

Hey Judd read this if you still have doubts. Maybe it would work a bit better if you actually talked to players and their parents.

Copied from a readers response in the Strib.

"There has been a lot of talk regarding how this affects the players. My son is a player on the team. He has stated that this is a NON-Issue for the players. It does NOT bother them. As far as how this affect recruiting, it doesn't. If you have ever sat down and spoke with Coach Kill then you would understand. He is honest, but kind and always tells it like it is. He is very up front about his epilepsy with each recruit and their family. We finally have a coach who truly care about each player, not only on the field but off the field as well. He has done some very positive things for the program since he came to Minnesota. The players and parents love him and the rest of the coaches. The media needs to start writing more positive articles about a group of young men and Coaches who are trying to do something good for the State of Minnesota! GO GOPHERS!!!"

Gopher Football is the topic of discussion on 1500 coming up in 10 minutes for those interested.

thanks. might have to try to sneak the headphones on for a few minutes and stream it over my computer at work.

I love how the media claims that recruits would be too afraid to say Coach's epilepsy concerned them. Why? The media has no problem saying its an issue...why would the recruits. The media is really lining up on the wrong side of history on this one. Judd, Dubay, and Souhan should all go back to 1993 and start writing columns on how Magic Johnson shouldn't coach basketball.

That's been one of the biggest problems with all this. These media guys don't have a clue what the players and/or recruits think because (surprise, surprise), they haven't talked to them about it. Or better yet, talk to a few former players who are no longer a part of the program.

But why do that? All that will do is go against what they have been saying and we all know they hate to admit they were wrong.

dubay and judd are running for the hills. both ridiculously trying to spin this now and make THEMSELVES the victims in this whole thing. what i am hearing come out of their mouths is beyond ridiculous! i used to have a small amount of respect for judd and dubay. that is slowly eroding down to nothing. their takes are wrong, their logic is flawed. they are simply wrong on this topic. to refuse to admit that and try to make this about them and make themselves into victims is silly, stupid....quite frankly pathetic.

judd, dubay, souhan, gregg doyle, et. al deserve any and all criticism you are getting from the public as well as from your peers/colleagues in the media. so step up and take your freaking medicine. more media types who can dish it out, but can't take it.

Ya, I'm not too impressed with their approach. They are totally playing the victim. I do think tweeting direct cheap shots at Dubay is uncalled for. However, they have completely reversed directions. You guys are not the victims here. Jerry is.

and let's be honest. coach doesn't consider himself a victim or want anyone's pity regarding his epilepsy or seizures. he has said this publicly. it is clueless idiots in the media who stupidly tried to make to turn coach into an unwilling victim/object of pity and make themselves the center of attention.

I couldn't disagree with Judd and Jeff any more than I do, they are flat out wrong, arrogant, and ignorant. However, you are just as low as Jim Souhan by taking a shot at Jeff's past and his ongoing recovery. Disagree with him all you want, there's no need to take cheap shots at him for his past addiction. Pretty pathetic.

This is the most passionate people in this town have been about the Gophers in a long time.

There are no victims here. Coach Kill has a medical condition that he is dealing with that periodically puts him in (at least in the media's eyes) a compromising position. I agree that he does not seem to feel that way. There is freedom of the press so the press can write what they want, but reaction to what they write doesn't make them victims either.

I love winning and hate losing. But after 60 years of mediocrity, I have accepted the fact that any success will be built long term and it will be build based on character, integrity, hard work and lots of 4th & 5th year seniors starting on our team.

I think Coach Kill & Co. understand this as well and are the people for the job. No doubt he is not the most dynamic recruiter, doesn't run the most exciting offense or defense and frankly, sometimes he has medical issues...but he is a character guy. He wont accept anything less than 100% from his players and he is a great representative of the U.

Maybe Mason will prove to be a better wins and loss guy and Brewster a better recruiter, but neither is close to Kill in leadership, representing MN and U and character. I'll take my chances in the wins and loss column (60, 65, 70 years...is there really a difference?) with Kill to have a man that I can point to as doing it the MN way...and Kill & Co represent the University I graduated from and represent that values that matter to me.

I just wrote two checks and mailed them. One to the U for the football team and one to the Epilepsy Foundation in Coach Kill's name. He is worthy of my support and admiration.

Back to topic, Frank seems like a classy kid and I will follow him wherever he goes (although I'd prefer it be to MN)

Their webpage is blocked at work, can anyone send me the email of Judd's boss?
