Some of the defensive problems for the Gophers can be blamed on youth especially in the defensive line, but a lot of their problems can be solved by getting players in the right schemes, basic fundamentals and better tackling. They will be able to make better tackles if they are in the right position for it. Basic defensive football. It is very important to get the right defensive coordinator in here - Fleck needs to hit a home run with this hire.

lol - I think ol Lou has moved on a long long time ago. But in his first year here he shaved off about 40 points a game defensively against several teams from the year before so it can be turned around in a hurry if you know what you are doing...
