...how its possible that Nolen still can't make a layup? I don't expect him to score for us, but its getting a little annoying that he still can't make layups at this point in his career.

Just needed to get that off my chest. Gophers looked great today. Loved the energy on the road!
 

Al leads the big10 in steals, is second in assists, and 1st in A/TO ratio. To me he defines the PG position right now. If he could consistently finish, he'd be a fantastic player, but I'll still take his upsides every day.
 

I think our whole team has struggled with layups this year.

We need to realize that we're never going to get wide open layups, and recognize that while it's difficult to finish in traffic, it's something that simply HAS to happen at the major D1 level. Period.

I don't care about how hard the foul is, how much traffic is around, etc. we need to put the ball in the basket. We miss more layups than the majority of D1 teams I've seen all year.
