I was tied up with another insanely close Marquette game for much of the game, but joined with about 10 minutes left and tried to keep tabs.. but, a couple of quick takes:
We just went to the wire with a fantastic team capable of making the Final Four (Hummel-dependent perhaps, but...)
Ralph is using that nice hook and could turn into something very special for the next two years
Devoe is playing out of position at PG.. but still showing confidence. Yeah, he missed the shot - but he took it and several others down the line. That is significant when you look at next year's team makeup.
Nolen/Joseph/Hoffarber/Sampson/Iverson is a real possibility to start next year, with Carter and Rodney off the bench or cracking the starting lineup. With that seven, they are capable of becoming a tourney team.. this season as a whole is disappointing, but looking at tonight and looking forward there is nothing to hang our heads about.
