How about Gray tonight? Nice to see him perform well (at least with his feet) in pressure situations. Awesome TD run and how about the 3rd and 3 late in the game where he powered forward for 7 yards? That was so sweet. I thought they mixed him in nicely tonight. Just reinforces for me how clueless Brewster was about playing him.

Certainly didn't embarrass himself or us, or look totally unprepared as many others suggested he would if he got in the game.

That 3rd down run was BIG TIME. I thought he was stopped three different times but he powered through all of their tackles. That was a huge play. The kid is a beast.

He is every bit a runner as Cam Newton, and there are a lot of similarities to his running style.

That was the play of the game for me. He showed a lot of heart, and talent, on that run. I came away very impressed with the determination and desire shown not only by Gray, but the whole team. Eskridge and Bennett had some great "effort" runs today, too.

Gray also looked pretty good on his touchdown run. Nice move to get to the outside, and then turned it up for an easy TD.

If he can become even just an average passer, he could be a fantastic player.

The 3rd down run was SO huge!

It kind of reminded me of a run Thomas Tepah had against Northwestern to help preserve a win.

Gray's power, determination and heart on that run were unmistakable and are the things...the "stuff" of which Big Ten wins are made! An absolutely GREAT run.

Yet, what really sets this run apart is the fact that it helped win a border-battle Big Ten Trophy game.

I'm so happy that Mr. Gray was not going to be stopped on that play. I am happy for him, his team, his coaches and for all of us fans. It truely was a run to remember!

Gray stayed on the field after the game and took pictures with every single person that asked, huge smile the whole time. This is no different than after the last 2 spring and fall games. He's a very nice young man.

I saw and noticed that too

and I thought here was a kid who also stayed above it all - he could have went anywhere but came here and put up with the turmiol - looking at him on the field yesterday taking all photos with whoever asked - he just came accross as a really good kid and seemed genuiley happy to be here - I was really impressed by him - both on and off the field

Seeing Gray play so well was fantastic. I can't wait to see what happens when he is "the man" next year. I also felt more pissed off at Brewster for the position he put Gray and Weber in this season. Brewster is responsible for a great disservice to both of those young men, and they are both humble enough and nice enough not to blame him for their crappy experience. Enough of that; the future should be bright!

Apparently Horton paid attention to all those emails we sent asking for Gray to get more touches. He's a great athlete whose best days are coming soon.

It will be the great irony of Brewster's time in Minnesota that if had found more ways to use the incredible talents of his best high school recruit Brew would still be coaching the Gophers. Brewster and Childress are exactly the same type of coach. They are stubborn and inflexible and they insist on doing things their way come hell or high water.

As he was breaking the tackles you could just tell he was thinking, I WANT THIS MORE THAN YOU. Loved it, lots of great performances today.

YES. I get goosebumps thinking of that play.

There were several huge runs by Gray, simply a great combination of power/desire to convert on multiple key 3rd downs.
