Green Granted Medical Hardship Waiver

University of Minnesota wide receiver Brandon Green has been granted a medical hardship waiver by the Big Ten Conference. Green's participation in the 2010 season (two games) will not count against him. He will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.

“This is good news for Brandon and for our program,” head coach Jerry Kill said. “We look forward to having him on our roster for two more seasons.”

Green saw action in the first two games of the 2010 season, before missing the remainder of the season with a knee injury. He did not record a catch last season. For his career, Green has 42 receptions for 599 yards (14.3 ypc) with two touchdowns.

Go Gophers!!

Well that's great news, as he deserved that hardship waiver. Meniscus injuries can tend to be somewhat dodgy bidness, so I hope that he can come back fully and with no loss of speed or cutting ability, and the early indications are sounding promising so far as that goes.

I second what 50Pound said..

Don't suppose they can figure out a way to go back and right Brewster's mistake of not redshirting McKnight, can they?
