1 - RED OUT: Friday's game is a RED OUT at the Kohl Center! The Badgers will be sporting their red jerseys all weekend and fans are encouraged to wear red to help cheer them on. The first 5,000 fans in the door on Friday will receive a free replica jersey T-shirt! On Saturday, fans will receive red stickers for their phone flashlights to help turn the Kohl Center red for introductions, while supplies last.

2 - B1G WIN: The Badgers took down No. 2 Michigan, 4-2, in the second game of their first Big Ten conference series on Friday, Oct. 29. Max Johnson scored the game winner goal for his 50th career goal. After dropping game one to Michigan, Wisconsin displayed their ability to face top-ranked competition which will come in handy this week as they face No. 5 Minnesota

3 - ONE FOR THE MOE-NEY: Minnesota transfer goaltender Jared Moe will face off against his former squad for the first time since joining the Badgers. Moe posted a 9-5-1 record and .907 save percentage over two seasons with the Gophers. He is coming off a career-tying 38 save night against Michigan last weekend.

4 - TWO FOR THE SHOW: Two Badgers are coming off a two-point game in Wisconsin's 4-2 win over Michigan. Freshman Caden Brown scored just three minutes in to set the tone for the Badgers and assisted Max Johnson's game-winning goal for his first career multi-point game. Sophomore Sam Stange also fared well against Michigan with the primary assists on Brown and Johnson's goals

5 - BORDER BATTLE: The last time the Badgers faced Minnesota was in the 2021 Big Ten Tournament title game back in March. The Gophers took that one 6-4, but the Badgers won three of their five meetings with Minnesota over the 2020-21 season, including a series-sweep and 8-1 victory in Minneapolis.

Minnesota sports a 5-3-0 record and is undefeated in two Big Ten contests. They split series with St. Cloud State and were swept by Minnesota Duluth, two teams the Badgers also faced earlier this season. Bryce Brodzinski currently leads the Gophers in scoring with six goals in eight games while Blake McLaughlin leads in points with 11 (two goals, nine assists) in eight games.

Lackadaisical play by the defense three times tonight and it cost them. Every Minnesota team just seems to be missing something, like heart.

Lol. Gopher hockey. What a joke. Get some stones and actually learn to win. But I know I'm asking WAY too much from this program.

This vaunted D corp that all played last year is playing like absolute shut. They get beat to pucks in the corner. Get out worked behind the net. Make bad break out passes that get intercepted and lead to the gophers having to play defense. This team is just infuriating to watch. I am hoping next year will be better when the cake eaters are not captains.

It's endemic and became so under Lucia. Lazy, uninspired and pampered style of play. Simply put, they've been a joke for years. Games like tonight should be expected because this is what the program has become.
