I may have to attend Dr. Don. I live in Wheaton, MN just a short 35-45 minute drive from there. So, it sounds intriguing.

Weather permitting of course. :)

Lol I grew up in Dalton and and know some of the Clauson's. Been to Mabel Murphy's many times Doc, but I doubt I'll be up there on Friday night.
 





Would love to be there Dr. Don. Unfortunately the 1600 mile drive makes it prohibitive.
 


I will be there...as long as my in-laws don't muck up my plans that evening.

Dr. Don...you live in Fergus Falls? I will be there the following week. Flying up next week for my neice's wedding and will be in Mpls/St. Paul when the game is on, but plan on going to FF the following week.

No, I live in Moorhead. Mabel's is a good central point for several of us outstate Gopher fans to meet. Like I said, I will do my best, even if there are only 2 or 3 or 4 of us. FF is just a short jaunt from Moorhead.

Shouldn't be a problem since Fergus Falls is a week behind the rest of the state. Since Dr.Don is from Moorhead, Minnesota he can just let the Dakota winds carry him over to Frost Bite Falls to meet you. I really do wish I could make it but we won't be leaving until Saturday afternoon to visit friends on Lake Miltonia for the new years. Dr.Don buy yourself a beer and put it on my tab.
 

OK, update for Mabel Murphy's in Fergus Falls:

I just called them, and talked to the Manager, a lady named Jo.

I told her that I had tried to contact them via their website, and have had no replies, so I asked her some questions on the phone.

1. Their Pub is extremely busy on Friday nights, so they do not reserve tables in the Pub.
2. They have 6 or 7 TV's and ESPN.
3. She encouraged us to get there early before the game, so we can be together as time goes on.
4. Game time for our Gophers versus Texas Tech is scheduled for 8:00 Central.
5. I am going to check into a motel in Fergus Falls on Friday afternoon, and head for the Pub at Mable Murphy's early to start putting
tables together.
6. How many tables will I need?
7. I hope someone can bring a camera (besides me) who can take some pics and share them on GH. I can take the pics, but I am tech
stupid as to how to share on this thread.
8. I also hope that I am not the only one to show up. :)
 

Man, I love Mabel's and it would be a great atmosphere to watch the Gophs beat up on TT.
It is only a 45 min drive from Morris.
Unfortunately I will be driving back from St. James from my son's BB tournament.
I think I may have to find a pub somewhere in between.

Sounds like a great time. Once lived in Moorhead and born in FF, but moved south because its 5 degrees warmer... Have fun. We're getting together with friends in the Metro.

I am getting to my Motel room Friday afternoon for my pre-game nap. I will get to Mabel Murphy's early for supper, and will try get a couple of tables together for Gopher Fans.

Just look for an old man with a gray beard, who will almost remind you of Uncle Sy on Duck Dynasty. I will be wearing an Aussie Cowboy Hat.

I just had some clown slide into my Jeep, which was parked at home, so am not going to be able to make it to Mabel's tonight.

I just found out that the house I moved into last Saturday actually has a pirate cable hookup. It's going to stay that way until the end of the Gophers game tonight.

I won't be at Mabel Murphy's unless Don asks me for a ride. Then I'd be obligated to go!

Dr. - I got a hall pass with a 6 week old and you let a little fender bender slow you down. Weak Sauce!!!

Ps. The mabels French dip is worth the drive.

we drove the 40 minutes. The place was packed and loud...we were the only one in gopher gear. The 7 tvs were all had bowl game on, but no one in the place seemed interested. We left and managed to get home for the second half.
 

I was there with a buddy and we sat near the pulltab boxes. We both had Gopher gear on, so I'm not sure how you missed us Crash. I spent most of the first half looking for Uncle Sy Robertson (Dr.) until I logged in and learned he wasn't making it. That was almost as heartbreaking as the loss. Anyway, I only saw one other person with a gopher shirt.
