per the AP:

Minnesota senior Tyler Johnson's play in the Outback Bowl has earned a spot on The Associated Press all-bowl team, which was announced Wednesday.

Johnson's 12 catches included a one-handed touchdown grab in the second quarter that gave Minnesota a 24-17 lead and a 73-yard touchdown play in the fourth quarter that gave the Gophers their final points in the 31-24 victory over Alabama.

The Minneapolis North high school graduate was named the game's MVP.

Wide receiver

Justin Jefferson, LSU (Peach): Jefferson caught four of Burrow’s seven touchdown passes. Jefferson ended up with 14 receptions for 227 yards.

Jerry Jeudy, Alabama (Citrus): Jeudy caught an 85-yard touchdown pass on No. 9 Alabama’s first play from scrimmage and finished with six receptions for 204 yards in a 35-16 victory over No. 17 Michigan.

Tyler Johnson, Minnesota (Outback): Johnson had 12 receptions for 202 yards and two touchdowns as No. 16 Minnesota defeated No. 9 Auburn 31-24.

Go Gophers!!

Some very good company!
Probably a homer comment but I’d take TJ all day over the other two. His character is what stands out the most to me. The kid is going places and not just football.

I didn't even realize this was a thing. Always good to see Gopher players mentioned and awarded for anything but an All-Bowl team just strikes me as kind of odd.

Oh well, congrats to TJ on making the squad :)

TJ is great, and I am not sure about the character of the other two wide outs, but they are pretty damn good, especially Jeudy

I agree. Never heard of a Bowl team. Whatever, hats off to Johnson who is clearly a class guy.
